In this series, I use the name Yeshua rather than “Jesus.” This is the form of his name closest to the original Aramaic/Hebrew breath, the name spoken by his family and disciples. Over time, translations into Greek, Latin, and later English produced the form “Jesus.” Because the letter J did not exist in the languages of Yeshua’s time, his name would never have been pronounced that way historically. By honoring him as Yeshua, I return to the resonance of his living essence, beyond layers of translation and doctrine; it carries the original breath of his essence — restoring closeness and remembrance, not exclusion, only truth.
