Most asian kids went to university for their parents not for themselves. I was one of them. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret it because I definitely developed lots of transferable skills from it. But most of the things I did in my life was because my parents wanted me to do it. It's only the last 2-3 years I stopped attaching my worth to my achievements and doing stuff for me!
