Buckeyes beat Wolverines in OT, while Minutemen and River Hawks tie in Hockey East - CHS 2-27-25
It’s the #CollegeHockey Scoreboard Show for February 27, 2025. I was in a hockey rink today, only it was covered in wrestling mats. XCel Energy Center in St. Paul is a great place to watch any type of hockey. It’s also a great place for the Minnesota state wrestling championships - even if the HS league itself can’t be bothered by blogs, podcasts or anything that isn’t legacy media. Anyway. Two games on Thursday. No breakdowns. No Analysis. It’s JUST. THE. SCORES.
#8 Ohio State 2, #11 Michigan 1, OT William Smith scored the game-winner 82 seconds into overtime as eighth-ranked Ohio State kept its hopes of overtaking second place in the Big Ten alive with a 2-1 win in Columbus over That School Up North. They'll do it again on Friday.
#17 UMass 2, #16 UMass Lowell 2 (UMass wins SO) Cole O'Hara scored his 19th of the year to forge a 2-2 tie with host UMass and rival UMass Lowell. The Minutemen picked up the extra Hockey East point with the shootout win. They'll finish up the series, this time in Lowell to close out the home-and-home on Saturday. Both teams are now tied with Providence with 30 points in conference, one point behind fourth-place UConn.
