Chapter One: The Power of the Red Book (Part One)

Join the Drama and return to Middle-earth and the Shire in Chapter One of Concerning Hobbits.

In Part One, we join Elanor Gardner in the Fourth Age- the Days of Peace.

Elanor, having just seen her Samdad off into the West, is about to welcome her very own firstborn baby. Along with her loving husband Fastred of Greenholm (“Ted” for short), they turn their eyes to the future and prepare to move back in to Bag End.

But an unexpected issue with the deed and a summons from Mayor Hob Whitfoot to the village of Michel Delving leads them back west to the Capital of the Shire.

This nostalgic journey stirs memories from Elanor’s youth and we’re quickly whisked into a tale worthy of the Red Book.

This chapter will be continued in Part Two- coming soon!
