Oleksander Samus, a former cartoonist turned soldier, lost his leg in the Ukrainian conflict. After his injury, he found a new purpose at Vovk Studio, a tattoo parlor founded by Olena Vovk and Natalia Schedlkunova to support military families. Samus now tattoos soldiers and veterans, finding healing and a return to civilian life through his art. He plans to get his first tattoo, a reminder of his wife and the reason he fights.
