The word immigrant to so many like me, it signifies someone with a dream; a dreamer. I am Nancy Mulemwa Siisii. I was born and raised in Zambia, Africa, but I later migrated to America and settled in New York where I’ve been living for 20 years. As a dreamer, I have and continue to have a passion for making substantive bonds with audiences, and helping to inspire people to reach for their dreams. Being an immigrant has been one of the most challenging and extraordinary experiences of my life. It inspired me to start my podcast “Concrete Pastures: An African Immigrant Story” as a platform to reach out to fellow immigrants and dreamers.

S5 Ep 10 Sarah Nakintu Resilience and Renewal: A Mother's Story of Hope!
In an incredible journey that began in Uganda and eventually led her to the United States, Sarah pursued her graduate studies at the esteemed Columbia University. Throughout her career, she has taken on various roles in fashion, technology, venture capital, and international development, including a few positions at the United Nations.
As the driving force behind Kintu New York, a sustainable brand she established to create high-quality, ethically made leather goods using fair trade practices, Sarah showcased her commitment to ethical business practices and quality craftsmanship.
However, her most cherished role is that of a mother; after enduring six years of infertility, she welcomed her first child, a testament to her unwavering resilience and resolve. Notably, she recently introduced a free Women's Health Newsletter named Women's Health Paper, providing a nurturing space for women to discuss reproductive health and fertility concerns.
Sarah currently lives between New York City and Zurich, Switzerland.
