Coaches Bonnie Blackstone and Remi Gibbs have a conversation about men and the concerns women have with them. They start with Man vs. Bear. Women are raised to fear men and they should be. 1 in 3 women have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner.
Men objectify women and treat women as their father treated their moms. They are generally not taught emotional intelligence. They stonewall and generally don't accept their partner's influence.
What can we do? Create a safe place for men to express their feelings. Help them develop their emotional intelligence. Mirror the way you want them to behave and react. Applaud positive behaviors. Have deep meaningful conversations.
