Watch and Learn. @terriahutchinson Austin Kaplan is the founder and managing attorney of Kaplan Law Firm, PLLC, employment law, and civil rights boutique that represents individuals. In 2015, he received national recognition for successfully suing a Texas County Clerk who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses. In 2016, he was named the Austin under 40 “Austinite of the Year.” In 2017, he was Chairperson of the City of Austin's Ethics Commission. In 2018, he was President of the Austin Young Lawyers Association. In 2019 he was Chairperson of the Austin Bar Association’s Pro Bono Committee. Along the years, he has been a Super Lawyer Rising Star, a Super Lawyer Top 100 member, Texas Bar Foundation Fellow, Austin Bar Foundation Fellow, Texas Bar College Fellow, and in 2020 Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law.
