Silk & Thorn

This is Rob and David! They’re a power couple based out of Sioux City, Iowa. They gave us insight on how they have been able to turn their hobbies and passions into full-time businesses.

Silk & Thorn was created by David who specializes in engagement, wedding and elopement photography. "Silk" is associated with beauty, delicacy and soft emotions, while "Thorn" represents dramatic and bold emotions. These two aspects complement one another more than one would think.

Rob talked about the importance of having and being a support system. Shortly after David started doing photography full time Rob was able to pursue his career in real estate. He gave us tips on how he stays organized and explained how he and David balance one another out.
