Here is the homily I gave for the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. This is the fourth in the series, "Lift Up Your Hearts." In the Gospel, Jesus refers to the Narrow Gate as the way into Heaven. To enter through the gate, one must be in a State of Grace. At the Consecration at Mass, the Narrow Gate is opened. Those who approach to receive Holy Communion must do so as if they are able to pass through the Narrow Gate, they must be in a State of Grace.
