Lez Hang Out! Ep. 317: God Save the Lesbian Bar w/ Lisa Cannistraci
Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with Lisa Cannistraci, the owner of Henrietta Hudson, the longest running lesbian bar in the country, (@henriettahudson), to chat about her experience running the bar. From taking Madonna on a tour of all of the lesbian bars in NYC, to Melissa Etheridge taking over the stage when the band started playing "Come to My Window", Lisa has seen it all. She talked to us about embracing the full spectrum of the LGBTQ community when she realized that she needed to adapt and make it a lesbian centric bar for the entire LGBTQ community. She also discussed her activism and how she's never shied away from taking a stand even if it means losing business. Follow along on Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky and TikTok: Lez Hang Out (@lezhangoutpod) and answer our Q & Gay at the end of every episode.
