One year after Bruce Wayne unleashes Batman on Gotham City, he continues trying to clean up the criminal underworld, with the help of District Attorney Harvey Dent and Lieutenant Gordon. When a new villain, the Joker, proposes to the mob underworld to kill the Batman, the city of Gotham is once again plunged into chaos, as villains become emboldened by the cape crusaders' theatrics. Will Bruce be able to save his beloved city, or will it be torn apart by a madman?
