La década de los setenta estuvo marcada por un aire contracultural creativo tomado de la hostilidad callejera construyendo en la historia un nuevo genero musical y social. Jóvenes que encontraban en la rebeldía el antídoto perfecto contra la opresión del cuál eran objeto para la política y los medios de esa época fueron sin duda una especie de personajes degenerados, afiliados al caos y al desorden que no se preocupaban por las consecuencias de sus actos, sin embargo para toda la juventud de los setenta influyeron y formaron una fuerte herencia ideológica generacional e importante en la historia musical y cultural. El punk sin duda es una cultura subterránea.
