Should birds be named after people?

Many birds bear the name of the people who are given credit for discovering the species. The renaming of the McCown's longspur (Rhynchophanes mccownii) sparked this discussion. After listening to this discussion, email us at culture.conservation1970@gmail.com to give us your thoughts on birds being named after people. We'd love to hear from you!

Happy listening!
