"Carbs make me fat!"

We're busting one of the most common nutrition myths out there.... "carbs make you fat." Listen in to hear just how important carbohydrates are for your athletic performance. We talk about foods that contain carbohydrates, role of carbohydrates, pre and post workout snack ideas, and how to build a balanced plate.

Check out one of our favorite pre/post workout snacks below:

Protein Energy Bites

  • 1 1/2 cup of quick oats
  • 1/2 cup of protein powder (we use chocolate whey but vanilla would work too)
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of sunbutter or any nut butter
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 1/3 cup of either chocolate chips, raisins, or cranberries
  • 2-4 tbsp of water for consistency of cookie dough

Combine everything together and roll into balls!
