Guided meditation is a form of meditation where an instructor or a recorded voice leads participants through a specific meditation practice. In a guided meditation session, the guide typically provides verbal instructions and prompts to help participants relax, focus their attention, and cultivate mindfulness.During a guided meditation session, participants may be asked to sit or lie down in a comfortable position, close their eyes, and take deep breaths to initiate relaxation.
The guide then directs participants to bring their awareness to different aspects of their experience, such as their breath, bodily sensations, thoughts, emotions, or visual imagery. The purpose of guided meditation is to help individuals achieve a state of deep relaxation, heightened awareness, and inner peace. By following the guidance of the instructor or recorded voice, participants can learn to quiet their minds, reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and develop a greater sense of presence in the present moment.
