What if I want to lose weight?
So we know all the science behind the utter failure of dieting. We understand that neither food nor body size have any inherent morality. We believe the truth that cutting calories and over-exercising causes more harm to the body and mind than it is worth… BUT what do you do when you still have the desire to lose weight? On today’s episode we discuss the awkward truth that even anti-diet, intuitive eaters still sometimes feel the desire to do something to lose weight. What do you do when those thoughts come up? What if you have a medical issue that is causing the weight gain? How do you know if you should intervene or continue to trust your body? The issue of body size is not always as black and white as we wish it would be. While we certainly do not have all the answers, in this episode we discuss what helps us when “I want to lose weight” thoughts come up in our own minds and how we work to maintain a peaceful relationship with our bodies and food!
