What are the risks and rewards of government involvement in the crypto space? For enterprises, there are little to no regulatory hurdles. They essentially use blockchain technology as a new type of data system. On the other hand, the government’s intended role has been to prevent nefarious activity, scams and any kind of pandemic economic crises. The ongoing point of contention, here, is assessing what level of involvement the state and its laws should have in open source projects. And if there is needed governmental input, would this type of involvement prevent decentralization?

In this episode we will hear from two current and former government employees who act as significant points of contact between the cryptocurrency community and their respective governments, the United States and Taiwan.
