Let your body, mind and spirit be recreated, Echoing anew with rhythm and melody.Though this may be your first time here,You are home. -- Kaze   風  The opening song – “Denko” – comes from the country of Mali in West Africa and is sung in the Bambara language by the women’s vocal group Sweet Honey in the Rock.  The song is the prayer for a young couple eager to have a child.  Everyone around them prays that they will soon welcome a child into the world.  One day, their prayers are finally answered.  A child is born, and there is joy in the entire community.  Once the child’s first cries are heard, however, everyone quickly realizes the prayers cannot stop now.  They must not only continue, but also intensify, in order to ensure that the child’s journey is a safe one.The artwork for this podcast was created exclusively by my friend Courtney Brooks.
