Jason Robertson scored two more goals, extending his current goal streak to four games (8 goals) and captain Jamie Benn made his season debut, returning from a collapsed lung, but the night was spoiled by the visiting New York Islanders, who beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 at American Airlines Center. Calum Ritchie, Bo Horvat and Kyle Palmieri all scored goals, giving the Islanders a 3-1 lead in the third period. Robertson’s second goal of the night, a 6-on-5 extra attacker tally, cut the deficit to one and Wyatt Johnston thought he had tied the game with 0.1 seconds left. However, a league-initiated video review overturned the call on the ice (good goal), deeming Robertson committed goaltender interference on David Rittich.
