Tucked away in the West Midlands, the Sadlers fly somewhat under the radar, surrounded as they are by the likes of Aston Villa, West Brom, and Wolves. Now in League 2, they find themselves looking upwards at a potential promotion push, but their best work might actually come away from the match day.
In this episode, James and Daniel discuss Walsall’s ‘Beat The Block’ program, set up as an aid for suicide prevention. Daniel attends one of the free football sessions the program runs, complete with Walsall first-team players in the dugout, and brings back tales of what it’s done for the participants.
