Nog geen vijf jaar geleden leidde Nik Lemmink nog het leven van een typische student, maar tijdens de coronaperiode ontdekte hij het hardlopen, een passie die al snel uitgroeide tot een professionele ambitie. Het begon simpel, met af en toe een rondje - vaak nog met een kater - rennen met vrienden. Maar Nik kwam er al snel achter dat hij er toch best goed in was. Dus besloot de Groninger zich aan te sluiten bij een hardloopteam, Team 4 Mijl. Ondertussen is Nik al in het bezit van vijf NK-medailles, won hij als eerste Groninger (zijn thuiswedstrijd) de 4 Mijl van Groningen en heeft hij zich gekwalificeerd voor het EK cross, dat dit weekend zal plaatsvinden in Antalya.
