In 2007, Lt Col Rooney founded Folds of Honor to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of wounded or killed military service members. In 13 years, Folds of Honor has provided 29,000 life-changing scholarships totaling over $145 million.  Lt Col Rooney is also a proud Class A Member of the PGA of America. He is also the founder of two nationally ranked golf courses. The Patriot, Tulsa, OK is the home of Folds of Honor. American Dunes, his latest course with Jack Nicklaus is located outside Grand Rapids, MI, honors the birthplace of Folds of Honor while providing hope and healing to military veterans.  Lt Col Rooney is an author, motivational speaker, and family man.
