Prof. Yunita is a Public Health Lecturer and Midwifery Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in maternal and child health, focusing on health promotion, early childhood growth and development, and reducing maternal and infant morbidity. She is a consultant at Bank Indonesia, was a consultant at USAID Momentum in 2024 and founder, Koala Home Medical Care, 2021–present.

She also worked as a medical assistant, Peace Corps USA, 2018–2020, a lecturer, Medistra Health Institute, 2022–2024 with public speaking & Gender Based Violence Training from 2017–2023.
