Boosting Diabetes Control Through Oral Care

Dr. Yin Hsu reveals how gum health, oral hygiene, and fasting-mimicking diets can lower A1C and improve diabetes control naturally.

Dr. Yin Hsu explains the powerful connection between oral health and diabetes control. He reveals how gum inflammation contributes to systemic inflammation, high blood sugar, and cardiovascular risk—and why regular dental care and nutrition are key to prevention. From deep cleanings to fasting-mimicking diets, Dr. Hsu shows how integrative dentistry can improve both your smile and your metabolic health.

Dr. Yin Hsu earned his first dental degree from National Taiwan University before moving to the United States, where he studied public health at Harvard and continued advanced dental training at Tufts and the University of Florida. A lifelong learner with over 200 continuing education hours annually, he holds both Fellowship and Mastership distinctions from the Academy of General Dentistry and has twice received its Life Long Learning and Service Award.

Dr. Hsu teaches at Tufts University and serves as a visiting faculty member at the University of Florida, where he shares his expertise in comprehensive, preventive, and technology-driven dentistry. He emphasizes that oral health is foundational to whole-body wellness—believing a healthy mouth supports a healthy body and mind. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hsu enjoys mentoring young professionals, reading about health, playing piano, and traveling.
