Placed in the Puzzle: Go Get the Donkey | November 30, 2025 | Echo Church
Pastor Christy Cass Most of life isn’t lived on the mountaintop — it’s lived in the middle. In the ordinary, the consistent, the everyday. And that’s exactly where God forms faithfulness. In the Middle God builds His church not only through bold moments or passionate highs, but through steady obedience in the mundane. From “go get the donkey” in Matthew 21 to rebuilding walls in Nehemiah 4, we see that God ties supernatural moments to simple acts of faithfulness. TEXT: Matthew 21:1–11, Zechariah 9:9, Nehemiah 4:16–18 NOTES: Big Idea: God forms us in the middle — through consistent obedience, hidden faithfulness, and small “yeses” that build something eternal. Faithfulness over Passion Consistency over Feelings Obedience over Excitement Go get the donkey. Pick up the shovel. Carry the sword. Because that’s where: Prophecies are fulfilled. Walls are rebuilt. Lives are restored. The church is strengthened. God moves through you. You are a puzzle piece with purpose, not just in your genius, but in your faithfulness.
