Funky Fresh Glaciers Are MELTING!!! (Cities Submerged Under Water?)

This Eco Talk episode is dedicated to exploring the ecological phenomena of glaciers. Specifically, how they are melting. Melting Glaciers are a major issue today, that will cause significant changes to our daily lives; as much as losing New York, Tokyo, Florida to sea level rising. Glaciers are also a central source of freshwater, its melting will not only endanger our survival but also mess with the ocean current. These problems root from oil and drilling companies and their significant contributions to greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. The concept is simple: "The Earth is heating up; the glaciers are melting.

Section 1: What are glaciers - definition? Why are glaciers important? What causes melting glaciers?

Section 2: What would occur if all of the glaciers melted off land someday?

Section 3: Negative effects- Sea-level Rise, Heat Waves, Monsoons, Droughts, Toxic Chemicals (hint: contaminating oxygen), Extinction, Seismic Blasting

Section 4: How it affects marine animals? Endangered animals?

Section 5:  How does climate change play a part? How is this human's fault?

Section 6: What does this mean for our future?

Section 7: How can we take action?
