Episode 6: Pathology with Prof. Joseph Carlson
In this episode of ECtalk, Joseph Carlson, Professor in Clinical Pathology at the University of Southern California, discusses recent developments, challenges, and the future of pathology of gynaecological cancers. He also talks about the differences between the Swedish and American healthcare systems, shares what initially sparked his interest in the field and why he is not worried that the microscope will be a redundant tool in pathology anytime soon. Joseph Carlson has previously worked at Karolinska Institute, where he is still actively doing research. He has, amongst many other things, contributed to several Swedish gynaecological cancer treatment guidelines. In case of questions or thoughts please contact ena_ectalk@eisai.net.
