The patients you see in the hospital or in your clinic are immigrants. They have come to this country for different reasons, all seeking a better life for themselves and their families. Everyone wants to learn to speak English. If they don't speak it, it's because they find it difficult, they just arrived and they haven't had the time or they can't find the resources.
It is very important for health professionals to take these questions into account and how to formulate them correctly in Spanish in order to communicate adequately with their Spanish-speaking patients.
