All right, let's begin the news today The world health organization revealed a new variant of COVID-19 named MU or better known as B1621. This variant has spread in 40 countries and was first discovered in Colombia in January. This variant has appeared in the United States with 1466 cases and in Mexico with 341 cases. While in Europe, this variant appears a lot in Italy with 63 cases and then England with 45 cases. While in Asia, this variant is found in Japan. The world health organization said it may be possible for the MU variant to have more resistance to the COVID-19 vaccine, the rate of transmission varies according to the severity of the congenital disease and is able to avoid diagnostics and treatment. However, all of these assumptions needs further research. Experts say that the MU variant is not yet at an alarming level like the delta or B1617.2 .In addition, there is also the C12 variant which is more worrying because it is thought to be more contagious. The public is expected to always maintain strict health protocols so that the number of people infected with covid-19 continues to decrease.
