Peckish (slightly hungry) • By noon, I was feeling peckish although I had had a large breakfast Starving (extremely hungry) • Let’s grab some lunch. I’m starving could eat a horse (extremely hungry) • I haven’t eaten the whole day and now I could eat a horse Hangry (so hungry that you’re getting angry) • Where’s the waiter? I’m getting hangry Growl (because of indigestion or hunger) • My stomach growled in the middle of the exam Full/stuffed (can’t have another bite, have eaten so much) • No more cake for me. I’m full Bloated (feeling too full after eating too much) • I felt bloated after eating too much for lunch A foodie (someone who’s interested in different kinds of foods, restaurants and cooking) • I’m a foodie. I love going to restaurants
