English with the learners!
Tanner LeTourneau
11 episodes
A podcast for English learners, by English learners, with their host... Tanner, an ESL teacher, methodologist, linguist, and language learner. Listen as English learners practice speaking about topics they choose. There isn't a huge focus on error correction here, just an opportunity to speak freely around a topic. You might even learn a thing or two! For my students: listen to your own episode as well to see if you can identify any of your own mistakes or to see if you overuse certain words/expressions.

Interview tips with HR professional Lucie

Interested in interview tips? online and in-person? Listen to this conversation with Lucie, an HR professional and excellent student, as she shares her tips for interviewing.

She does a great job of thinking on her feet! (I asked some surprise questions)

Important vocabulary:

stressed (how we feel) vs. stressful (situations)

keep eye contact (stare) vs. make eye contact (appropriate amount)

Important grammar:

I recommend you use/do/make (base form of verb) or I recommend using/doing/making (no subject, +ing)
