A criminal lawyer-kingpin Peter Murdock manipulates young Dan Malley into a life of crime, then allows him to be sent to the electric chair. When Malley, facing death, confesses everything to The Shadow, Murdock tries to outwit the detective by rigging a high-tech death-trap door using an infrared beam to entrap him.
