ESOA Podcast do not Stop the Move!
Good evening dear friends of electronic music.
My guest today looks back to 1989, when he and his brother created mixtapes in a style mix between rap and acid house, featuring artists such as Bomp the Bass, Adonis, Public Enemy and Ice T. But he was and still is no stranger to punk either.
In 1993, everyone in Mainz was talking about Sven Väth and Omen in Frankfurt, which also captivated him and didn't let go until 1997. This led him to sell his beloved moped and buy two Technics players.
At some point, he broke away and went in the wrong direction, away from music.
Through a later girlfriend, who had two players at home, he returned to music and around 2005 he also began producing himself.
However, by 2010 at the latest, he realised that the whole scene was not always honest and that the spirit that the original heroes had paved the way for had been lost.
He speaks about what is happening today and now in a way that is not necessarily positive, but rather critical.
I must point out here that he has produced a considerable number of productions and releases, especially in the acid genre. And that's why I'm all the more delighted that he has agreed to create a beautiful mix for the ESOA podcast. The whole thing is rather house-like with a tendency towards Chicago, a primordial seed of the house and techno scene.
Look forward to this beautiful mix, ESOA Podcast 088 by DJ ARG or A.R.G.!
Cheers
