I love a good 'fish out of water' story. As you've seen from Palm Springs (and others) I also like metaphysical/time travel/time bending movies. So - throw Seth Rogen into a time bending, fish out of water story - and add pickles - one of my favorite foods? Oh - I'm in. I'm all the way in!
