The week we missed - Who Was Behind the Attack on Russia's Nord Stream Pipelines?

Welcome to "The Week We Missed," the podcast where we catch you up on the biggest news stories you might have missed over the past seven days. I'm Jer, and as always, I'm joined by my co-host Todd

This week, we're discussing a story that has stumped investigators on both sides of the Atlantic for months. According to new intelligence reviewed by U.S. officials, a pro-Ukrainian group may have been responsible for the attack on the Nord Stream pipelines last year. The attack, which links Russia to Western Europe, has been a major mystery in Russia's year-old war in Ukraine.

While there is no evidence that President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine or his top lieutenants were involved, Ukraine and its allies have been seen as having the most logical potential motive to attack the pipelines. This is because they have opposed the project for years, calling it a national security threat.

However, Ukrainian government and military intelligence officials deny any involvement and claim to have no knowledge of who carried out the attack. So, who are the perpetrators, and who directed or paid for the operation?
