The Philippine environmental movement began with the Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources, Inc. It is the first environmental conservation organization in the country.

Haribon is led by a group of reputable conservationists and experts who are dedicated to learning and sharing how protecting nature protects life in the end.

It has been protecting the environment and preserving life for 48 years through the following interventions: bird conservation, forest restoration, marine conservation, scientific research, policy advocacy, environmental education, community empowerment, public awareness and engagement, agriculture innovations, natural resource management, environmental planning, community organizing, stakeholder management, project management, volunteer management, and gender and development.
