S1:E4 Divine Revelation [Shavuot: Shemot 24 1-8]

This episode is adapted from a lecture given June 4, 1978 entitled 'Ten Commandments'.

In this episode on Shavuot, I will present 3 key ideas related to the giving of the Torah:

  1. Why is Shavuot called Yom Ha'Atzeret by Chazal?
  2. What are the two aspects of Matan Torah?
  3. Were the Jews actually Jews when they received the Torah?

This episode is dedicated in recognition of the 3rd Yahrzeit of Kenneth Bossewitch, Akiva Ben Avraham z'l and marking the 30th Yahrzeit of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik z"tl.
