NAMIBIA'S MULTIPLE PRIZE-WINNING AUDIOGUIDE APP & PODCAST „Exploradio shares accurate knowledge about Namibia in an exciting way that enables mindful traveling – for locals and tourists alike!“ In Africa folktales are believed to have the power to hold the community together: the ancestors, the living, and those not yet born. They serve to communicate morals and traditions to the young in preparation of life's obstacles. Based on this, we believe that sharing historical facts, cultural norms and knowledge about the environment in a way of telling a story, we can increase cultural understanding and empathy while delivering relevant information to enable mindful traveling in Namibia. On the streaming platforms we are sharing some audio clips from our app as well as host a long format podcast. The app connects the audio clips with a GPS location, so that you can find out more about landmarks and interesting sites in your vicinity. However our library also offers a variety of audio clips telling you everything about Namibian food, customs & traditions, languages and nature as well as some African folktales. Let our voices become your best invisible Namibian friend while sharing our excitement for this breathtaking country. Yours, Sij & Jana Founders of Exploradio Audioguide Namibia P.s. If you prefer to read, we also got you covered: Every audio clip on the app has a detailed text description to deliver knowledge in your preferred way.

Rainy Season In Namibia

In Namibia, the sun shines on more than 300 days a year. And yet, this country that is partially covered by two deserts has a real rainy season! Officially, it runs from November to March, but the rain usually starts in December and reaches its peak in February. If you plan to travel to Namibia during these months, a rain jacket should be part of your luggage.

Download the Exploradio app on Google Play (coming soon) or on iOS (currently free) to hear more about Namibia. The app also has a GPS-function to link the audio clips with monuments and other points of interest and if you prefer to read, you can find a long description on the app. For more information visit our website.
