Discover New TV shows, Movies, Comics and Books that will give us common ground and bring us together by slowing down to appreciate each other's fandoms. You Might think that we’re living in a Golden Age of TV, Movies, Comics and Books, but sometimes it feels like we have to jump from fandom to fandom so quickly that we don’t even get to understand why we should like something, which means that we often miss out on something that could become a new favorite But if we take a minute to slow down and really look at a fandom there is always some redeeming quality, something that someone loves. Because on this show, Your Fandom Matters

Anchorman: The Legend of Consent, Quotes, and Nostalgia

Anchorman - Consent, Quotes and Nostalgia

"This podcast might be the greatest podcast in the history of mankind and if you do not agree with me I will fight you and that is not a lie." Anchorman (2004) is a movie about Ron Burgundy, a news anchor in the 1970's and his reaction to the station's first Anchorwoman. We discuss why people like the movie, the importance of consent, and how to deal with problematic media that holds a nostalgic place in our hearts.

If you have anything to contribute to the discussion join the Facebook Group at Facebook.com/groups/fandomcast or shoot us a message on Instagram at TheFandomPodcast.

Next week we will cover some of the history that inspired the movie, some of the history from the making of the movie, and talk about the Anchorman movie that never was.

This Week's Episode is brought to you by Henry Danger Now Streaming on Paramount Plus
