324. | ‘Did God Really Say?’ – Gaslighting, Deception & the Battle for Truth
Gaslighting is everywhere—from relationships and media narratives to political spin and even inside the Church. In this powerful episode, we expose how psychological manipulation is used to make you doubt reality, silence truth, and control culture… and how God’s Word equips us to stand firm. 🎭 Where did the term “gaslighting” come from?
It originated from the 1938 stage play Gas Light (later adapted into the famous 1944 film), where a husband manipulates his wife into believing she’s going insane by dimming the gas lights and denying it’s happening. The story became the perfect metaphor for psychological abuse and deception—and today, we see it weaponized on a massive scale in society and media. 🔥 In this episode we discuss:
• What gaslighting REALLY is (and how to recognize it)
• How the enemy uses manipulation and confusion as spiritual warfare
• Why culture denies obvious truth (“Antifa doesn’t exist,” “Did God really say?”)
• Biblical examples of gaslighting from Genesis to the Gospels
• Why silent churches are losing influence
• How believers can boldly speak truth in a world of lies ✅ If you've ever been told you're “crazy,” “overreacting,” or “imagining things”… this episode will set you free with TRUTH. 00:00 – Welcome & why this conversation matters
