Vin Freda joins me this week to talk about living alcohol free for an entire year and about his life with Cystic Fibrosis (CF).
For those of you that don't know, CF is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system due to the overproduction of thicker and stickier mucus that makes it difficult to breathe properly and produce enzymes in the pancreas that aid in digestion.
The movie I mention in this episode is called Five Feet Apart and can be a depiction of what life with CF looks like for some people. Fortunately, both Vin and his brother have not experienced CF as bad as it is seen in this film, but they still have to follow certain routines and take certain medications to keep it under control.
