
Our final sermon in our Silver Bells series we find that in a world not so different than our - politically tense, economically pressured, spiritually weary - steps an old man named Simeon, standing in the temple of Jerusalem with one deep, unfulfilled longing: to see God keep His promise. A promise that to him has been only visible in black and white on the pages of prophetic history will soon become alive in vivid color through the meeting of an infant: Jesus.
