New year – new season – new degree? This January, FOYERFUNK is all about starting your studies at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (HfMDK)! Students from various majors and degree programs talk about their personal experiences during the aptitude tests and their first months at university. Student representative and music teaching major Maurício Homberg will be the host of this first all-student series.
Dance students Naia Nieto and Johann Holland are the guests of our first episode this season. Both of them have found a safe space to discover themselves and hone their skills in the HfMDK dance studio. How nervous were they at their own audition and with what attitude should applicants go there? How did they experience their fresh start in Frankfurt? And what have they already learned as young dancers at the university? Naia and Johann share these personal insights with fellow student Maurício Homberg.

Neues Jahr – neue Staffel – neues Studium? Diesen Januar dreht sich bei FOYERFUNK alles um den Einstieg ins Studium an der HfMDK! Studierende aus verschiedenen Fächern und Studiengängen erzählen von ihren persönlichen Erfahrungen rund um die Eignungsprüfung und ihre ersten Monate an der Hochschule. Durch diese erstmals komplett studentische Staffel führt Schulmusiker und StuPa-Vertrauensstudent Maurício Homberg.
Los geht es mit Naia Nieto und Johann Holland aus dem Tanz Bachelor. Die beiden haben im HfMDK-Tanzstudio einen sicheren Ort gefunden, in dem sie sich ausprobieren können. Aber wie aufgeregt waren sie bei ihrer Audition und mit welcher Einstellung sollten Bewerber*innen dorthin gehen? Wie haben sie ihren Neustart in Frankfurt erlebt? Und was haben die beiden als junge Tänzer*innen an der Hochschule schon gelernt? Diese persönlichen Einblicke teilen die Studierenden mit unserem Gastgeber Maurício Homberg.
