Former Fresno program director, Lillian Macias Weiland, is suing local community development company, Central Valley New Market Tax Credit Fund, for wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation against its president, Oliver Baines. Weiland alleges Baines wrote himself unauthorized bonuses totaling $84,000, which the company later had to pay penalties for. Baines then attempted to reclassify these bonuses as a loan and later as wages, leading to Weilands demotion and eventual firing. The company denies all wrongdoing and claims not to have been served the lawsuit. This controversy is not the first for the company or Baines, who has ties to disgraced ex-congressman TJ Cox. The case is set for a management conference in March 2026. Checkout Solipillow.com
