Friends From Film School Podcast EP 56:   Classic Movie Night: Mad Max (1979)

Before he became the Road Warrior, entered the Thunder Dome, or traveled the Fury Road, there was a man named Max who went mad. This week on the Friends From Film School Podcast, we host another classic movie night and discuss the 1979 Aussie classic, Mad Max. Directed by George Miller and starring a young Mel Gibson, Mad Max tells the story of a Main Force Patrol officer, who launches a personal vendetta against the gang when his wife (Joanne Samuel) and son are hunted down and murdered, leaving him with nothing but the instincts for survival and retribution. Luke, Brad, and Ellis discuss the story beats of the film, share the crazy behind the scenes stories of this low budget production, and ultimately decide if this post-apocalyptic action film still holds up. So buckle in and join us in this high speed episode of FFFS!
