I have always loved supporting women become mothers. I started attending births as a midwifery student at the age of 18. I do not lack passion! I was a midwife for 13 years and left what I like doing because I could no longer support recommendations that lack evidence and where my heart knows they could be harmful. We see systems as superior and must be right and adhered to for safety. The opposite can be true. This podcast is to help you advocate for yourself and your family by giving you lots of resources and expansion. I want you to feel confident in your decisions.

Ep. 65 - Processing a difficult birth with Chandra Landry

I am thrilled to have Chandra on the pod again!

Chandra's first birth was marked with difficult steps and unknowns. Considering today's culture of birth, viewed with lots of fear and urgency, I approached Chandra to ask her how she processed her birth story.

What prepped her while she was pregnant?

What she did during and after to help herself process?

What advice does she have for women preparing for birth?

Chandra has delivered 4 children and her love and delight to bring babies into the world is heart warming.Even coming from a place of previous difficulty (or trauma), we can make informed and intuitive decisions. Chandra is a phenomenal expander in this regard.
