
Today we provide an extensive analysis of Vibe Coding, an emergent, high-speed software development paradigm defined by the heavy, often unvetted, reliance on Large Language Models (LLMs) for code generation. While Vibe Coding offers unprecedented speed, facilitating rapid prototyping and significant productivity gains—the research strongly argues that its practice of minimal human review introduces severe risks related to technical debt, unique defect profiles, and an almost ninefold increase in critical security vulnerabilities. Consequently, research suggests that enterprises abandon pure Vibe Coding in favor of disciplined frameworks, such as Architectural-Prompting and Promptware Engineering, which mandate human oversight and rigorous verification using specialized auditing agents like RepoAudit. The research emphasizes that legal liability for flaws rests with the integrating firm, necessitating a shift toward a Zero-Trust Agentic Security Model to manage systemic risks and maintain intellectual property through meticulous prompt documentation.
