There’s just something about the vibe at a theme park. If you’ve ever visited one, then I think you know what I mean. The smell of fair food in the air, distant screams from rides towering above you in the sky, and the thrill you get at watching lines of people before you fly in train cars at incredible speeds or dangle stories high as they are shot off into the air. You know that feeling of anticipation (and maybe even suspense) as you slowly watch yourself and a group of strangers with you make their way up to the very top of the first hill on a roller coaster. But what if I told you that between the squeals for joy and the endless days of fun, that many of these parks harbor much more than the people who work tirelessly to keep it all running. What if I told you that many of these parks contain the spirits of those who once visited and unfortunately lost their lives on those grounds. Well that’s what we’re discussing today! Kings Island in Ohio and Lake Compounce in Connecticut both have stories from its past that may explain some of the strange and paranormal reports by guests and staff.
