The first grand tour of the season is upon us, somewhat sooner than we anticipated this one and here we are releasing the podcast a day before the racing starts. We preview 3 weeks of exciting racing, that encapsulates all the aspects of bike racing, with sprints, time trials and mountains stages galore, as the riders tour the beautiful country of Italy, for the first and perhaps most exciting grand tour of the season, the GIRO D’Italia. It’s certainly the most beautiful race on the calendar. The team chat about the history of the race, what’s in store for the riders, ever popular podium predictions and discuss in more detail why the Women’s GIRO, the Giro Rosa, has lost world tour status this year.
